Tolleno is a city-building board game where players shape a growing southern European city, district by district, floor by floor. Designed for 2 to 4 players, it blends spatial planning, majority control, and tactical adaptation in a constantly evolving urban landscape.

During the game, players add city tiles to expand the map and construct buildings by stacking floors along canals. Height matters: the tallest buildings often secure control of key areas, but timing and positioning are just as important. As the city grows, players must react quickly to opponents’ moves, seize opportunities, and prevent others from dominating valuable tiles. Strategic contract bonuses and multiple scoring paths reward smart planning without locking players into a single strategy.

Tolleno offers two ways to play. A streamlined family version introduces the core mechanics in an accessible way, while the full version adds depth and demands anticipation, spatial awareness, and tactical flexibility. Because the city layout changes every game and bonus conditions vary, no two sessions ever feel the same.
